This is typical BS from Argos. They advertise a BIG sale and reduce prices greatly on items that aren’t in stock.

My wife was looking st a wardrobe in Argos. It was €249 yesterday with two in stock in letterkenny. This morning at 8:20am she checked it and it was €179 but none in stock. They are also reduced on the UK site also but none in stock in either of the Derry stores or strabane where they had been in stock at the beginning of the week. It’s false advertising in the hope you’ll buy something else.

It screams misprice. Nothing at all similarly priced on their eBay store.

Miss price on that in any case, there is no way they would have honoured it.
It could just be a place holder

Argos are a joke, they reduce the prices and they claim the item is out of stock, hoping to get u in the store. Wanted a baby monitor and was loads when I checked, the next day the item was reduced by €5 and wasn't available anywhere in the country.. 🀔

I'd imagine its a price & stock change gone wrong rather than straight up advertising incorrectly.

Not that I wouldn't have thrown myself at it if it was in any fairly local store, but it would be massively chancing it!

Personally, I find them great. There's been plenty of bargains posted here over the year and they always seem to honour everything once you bring the confirmation with you.

Yep. They are fine. A lot of people love giving out about them based on not getting a "bargain" like this when there was no bargain in the first place and its down to stock management transfers which show up online.

Lads. OT I know but there are plenty of 32GB ipads (A9 - 2017) on Amazon for £309. Any concerns with these as they seem to be €419 generally here and with Apple online. Thoughts ? Or am I missing something ?

Usual bullsh!t from Argos.. Then everyone floods to Argos competitors moaning that it's only €69 in argos, but in reality it's not and it never was.

or it was a simple misprice...just a thought

I don't think Ireland gets the Online Exclusive stuff even though it's on the site

Remember this happening around the time the 1tb PlayStation was released... It dropped in price, as there was none left in stock anywhere.

Wonder the logic behind it, if anything it would just put me off shopping with them.

Does any other company sellkng these do a price matching program?

Somehow I don't think this is a typo. As of now 11:46am it's still at €69 and of course out of stock.
