Tumble Dryer water tank half filling

    Hi All,
I have a Zanussi condenser tumble dryer and I've recently changed the belt.

I used this instructional video to do the job as the model I have is exactly the same.

However, since I put the belt on the water tank is filling a lot slower than before and water is leaking from the bottom of the machine during wet loads that go in straight from the washing machine.

There doesn't seem to be a water pump on this machine and I do not see any hose connection that connects directly to the water tank?

Should there be something connected, a hose, from the condenser to the water tank?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sup08

if the water tank is in the bottom it has no water pump, you probably dislodged some sludge which is now blocking where the water enters the tank, can be tricky enough to clear, I use compressed air in a situation like this to blow out the blockage.

Thanks, would the blockage be in the water tank itself or the connector it goes through?

When I connect the tank back in, I can see a hole in the valve where it comes through in the machine. Does that hole need a blast of air?

Yeah the nozzle that inserts into the tank

Update: Took the valve from the back of the tank and removed the male connector. Gave it a clean and clipped it back on.
Got a brush (bottle brush type) and cleaned the female connector under the machine, my can of air was missing the plastic straw so couldn't blast it. Same set of bottle brushes, I cleaned the condenser of any fluff and washed it out. Wahla!!! No more leakage from the tank and all is well again.

    Thanks for the help.

    Brushes like these :)
