Painting a bathroom ceiling

I had a problem with mould forming on a bathroom ceiling, in particular above the shower and window frame.

I removed it and cleaned it up, put in a stronger extractor fan and painted the ceiling using mould reistant paint.

Then the next morning it looked like the below. Peeling everywhere.
Any suggestions what I did wrong (was the paint too thick?) and how to put it right?

    Thanks.

What paint did you use ?

Either way, you need to do the following:

    Using scraper, remove loose paint.
Get a tin of this and apply 2 coats. She dries quick, so no long wait time for recoat.

    That'll sort you.

Ceiling was damp when you applied the new paint. I'd second that Zinsser paint. It's great tack. Make sure you use a bleach spray and wipe off any existing mould prior to using it. Either that or someone used the shower before the paint had a chance to cure

If you’re in Lucan, just pop across the back roads to Coolmine decor, clonsilla. Open all day Saturday.
