05'06 volvo s40, which model?

Hello, was looking at the 1.8 petrols in these years. Has anyone driven one or know how they compare to the diesel s40s.

What would be the better one to go for? Not bother on diesel or petrol just the better model i guess. Had this one in mind. Not sure if good or bad!

Mileage would put me off that particular one. The Ford/Mazda 1.8 that is used in them is known to be slightly on the soft side though I still wouldn't turn my nose up at owning another one but less miles then that obviously.

Anything under 120k in my opinion. However you could buy a car with half that mileage and it could be a complete lemon. It just depends on each cars condition.

Well it's a year younger than the S40 you were looking at and surely there would be some movement on the seller's asking price. It's not a million miles from you budget as it is.
