So another puncture this morning a month after replacing the same tyre, lad in the tyre place said it could be suspension though he told another customer who asked the same question it could be tracking! Is it pure bad luck or could something be doing damage?

What was in the tyre? Was there any sign of a foreign object?
What make and model is the tyre? There are some shyte brands out there.
I've never heard of the suspension causing a puncture, except for one time where a coil spring broke and tire the sidewall out of the tyre.

Was the previous tyre destroyed in the same way?

Is the tyre wearing around the entire circumference on the inside or is it a single puncture point?

Did you check there is nothing broken or sticking out from the underside of the car that could be causing the problem?

If it's getting torn up on one side then most likely you've a worn bushing or ball joint gone somewhere.
Tyre play should be able to source the problem handy enough, if they're bothered looking though.

Was there visible marks on the sidewall of the tyre? If there is some suspension component sticking out then you would see the damage to the tyre quite clearly.

It's also possible that the wheel rim itself is damaged. I had this problem with a 2007 fiesta. The alloys are very soft and can be damaged by pot holes quite easily. The resulting flat part of the alloy can damage the sidewall and the tyre can go flat very quickly.

Tbh I didnt get a look at this tyre but the last one had damage in one spot that was about 5 inches long.

Then that was caused by an external force and not something from the car/suspension rubbing on it.

The idiot at the tyre place that suggested the suspension but went ahead and fitted a new tyre without checking if there was something interfering with the tyre should be sacked.

    He seemed uninterested alright.
