    Hi All,

For as long as I can remember the air wash knob on my 4 year old Stanley Erin Multi Fuel Boiler Stove has been sticking badly.

Just posting this in the hope that some expert on here has seen this previously and resolved it using their skills and general genius - or if you've any thoughts or suggestions please let me know :)

To rotate the knob I've always had to grasp it very firmly and shake it from side to side while it simultaneously trying to rotate it - eventually something gives and it will rotate some bit of the way and I just persevere until eventually it's fully closed/open.

To my mind there's either some debris in the mechanism or else the shaft on the primary air control shutter was machined poorly and is rough etc (?)

Picture is in below link - 43, 44 are the area in question and 49 is the bloody knob itself :)

    Thanks for the hello folks.

PS I know I should have got it seen to under warranty but it used be manageaable and I just let it slide.

    Thanks :)
