    Hi guys,
We just got engaged last Saturday and have started to think about venues. We would like approximately 50 guests and for the venue to be within an hour or so of dublin if possible. We are hoping for beginning of December 2020 on z Friday or sat. Would anybody be able to recommend some venues, we really want to get some good food as we both enjoy eating out and cooking. Thanks so much.

Fallons in kilcullen springs to mind. Roundwood house in Laois. Rathsallagh house in Wicklow.

Depends on your budget and location.
We had a small wedding and used the restaurant in the Carnegie court in swords.
Had the early bird with 5 choices.
They cordened off half the restaurant for us.
    Had a great day.

Try Durhamstown Castle near Navan. It's a quirky venue and that size crowd would be perfect.

The Old Darnley in Athboy. Best beef I ever ate at a wedding. The crowd was 100% farming families, and they all raved about the food.
If they were happy, you know it was good!

My brother in law got married in Kettles Country House out near Swords. He had 50 at his and they had the ceremony on site too. Reception room was lovely, and the food was really excellent.
