My dads upgrading his Fiesta to a st line focus next year. Anyone drive or a own a newish focus st and what are they like. He wants petrol as he doesn't drive much for diesel.

Yep, plus the Focus is getting on a bit now. Bit disappointing that the ST Line isn't that well equipped.

I'm driving one currently. It's a 1.5l TDCI ST Line.

I quite like it. It's quiet, comfortable, and economical. It has averaged 58mpg from new. Not overly quick (120bhp) but has decent performance. It's also good to drive. Steering is accurate and the handling is fine.

Dash has been redone so it's a lot less cluttered than the previous model.

Spec. is what you'd expect with the exception of cruise control which really should be standard. New cars have Sync3 with an 8" touchscreen.

I've driven the 1.0l Ecoboost version and it's fine also. Go for the 125bhp version if you can.

Was looking at the fiesta St line black last year and didn't go for it in the end ,was half thinking of getting a car this year , I've been thinking fiesta , micra , ibiza but Ford have knocked a good chunk of the focus St line and they're coming in around 21.5 iirc , around the same as the smaller cars and less than dealers are selling 171 St lines for . Does the St line focus have the same spec as the St line black/red ?
Sorry for piggybacking on your thread op but we'll probably have the same questions and don't want to start a new thread .

    €21940 + delivery.

Specs for red/black editions are the same as normal ST Line cars. You can get a 2.0l 150bhp TDCI engine in one however.

Ford advertise a 1.5l Ecoboost engine with 150 or 180bhp outputs on their website but they aren't on the configurator.

it's just a trim level, it's not an ST.

Have to say they look good enough in red. Not really a fan of that gen Focus but I do like big wheels and black grilles and all that :)
