So I had no plans on getting a kitten but the mother found an abandoned one down the street and since she has a dog I said I'd take it. Nice lad, about 3 months old now. He's been with me about a month and in my wisdom thought be great to get him a friend. So yesterday brought home a female probably about 5 months old. Loves being handled not like the male. Thing is she doesn't really interact with him. He tries to play with her but she just backs into a corner and sits there. I thought being kittens they'd just play but there's a bit of tension there. Is this normal?.

It will take them a few days, maybe a week to get used to each other. As long as they're not fighting, I wouldn't worry.

Bet they'll be best of pals in a week or so.
