Crypto transfer query

Hi all I'm fairly new to this. Lets say I buy some crypto currency using exchange Coinbase and transfer them to a hardware (external) wallet. When I want to sell them can I transfer them to another exchange such as Kraken or do I have to transfer them back to the exchange in which I bought them? :confused:

No you can transfer them to whatever exchange you wish. Obviously, as long as they support the coin you are trying to transfer.
