    Hi Folks,

My Tricity Bendix AW1000w not getting up to full spin revs. I've taken off pipes and looked for blockages, there were none and machine drains ok + the belt seems ok.

    So now 2 questions..........

    1) could it be the brushes?

    2) The machine goes to spin but then as it tries to ramp up it cuts back. Could this be pcb/control panel related?

    Regards,

    hbab

fill up the drum and set it for spin, if it works ok your problem is with out of balance sensing due to small load. make sure you separate all items when loading.

if it still acts up if you try it empty I would suspect faulty control power module.( if it is doing this but washes ok definitely module/pcb)

That model is quite old (in washing machine terms).
It's got the 'click timer'? The modules in these machines failed on some programs over time, but I suspect the motor brushes may be your problem.
Are you in a position to remove the motor and check them yourself.?

    REMEMBER....POWER OFF BEFORE ANY CHECKS....!!

Thanks for that, Yes I can check the brushes I just thought because it was making an attempt to go from slow to fast spin that the brushes weren't an issue.

Had similar issues on a Bosch/Siemens over the years and new brushes solved it. After a further period of time it wouldn't even start a spin at the slower speed
