There's "Seller Feedback" and "Item Feedback" when things are done.

You can contact Amazon customer service via their chat service, but its not likely they'll do much since it's already been shipped. You'd have to wait for it to either arrive so you can return it, or wait sufficiently long enough if it doesn't arrive for them to refund you.

If the item arrives and has attracted customs charges I think you can get on to Amazon and they will refund them.

Just saw this. I had the same problem with a wallet. Took 3 weeks & the "real" delivery time only emerged after I ordered. I complained to Amazon & said that ebay tell you where the seller is located but Amazon don't.

I got the usual "thanks for your feedback" response.

Amazon sometimes get a bit thick about it but I hope you left item feedback that indicated the item took three weeks to arrive and where the seller was actually located?

I've got away with it. Only last month got an item that took three weeks from China, I knew its was too cheap not to come from China and some other feedback already stated that its was from China.

I did a genuine product review including product delivery time and location, even managed to get in a good comment about it being well packed (another thing Aamzon can have an issue with). If I just slagged them off I'm not so sure it would have got through.

The same thing happened to me, I ordered a present for someone only after it shipped I realised it's coming from the US with DHL, so I'll have to pay customs, if I wanted to order from the US I wouldn't have gone to amazon.co.uk

Its the companies (sellers) fault for it being listed in the wrong location. So you can ask for a refund of any customs duty, you might have to fight for it but because its Amazon thats making the payout they can pay you and just take the money back from the sellers account.

Yeah, I will definitely fight it.

The seller may be in the UK but the stock is in China.
Amazon say where the seller is located, ebay where the item is.

As you keep saying but that also backs up my point that if an item comes from outside the EU and attracts customs duty or VAT then its not the customers fault so the seller has to pay the duty.

Oh I agree. I just bought a phone from a Chinese supplier via their European warehouse. One wonders if they paid duty

Yes, you can ignore it. I've got that before and told them I'd left an honest review and wouldn't be taking it down.
