Calf not drinking

Hey. Have a3 week old suckler foster calve who's mother died. Has been on maverick and thriving. All of a sudden had gone off bottle and suckling teat since yesterday. Is still very bright but would want to be getting something in by tom. Not rearing any solids worth talking about even though had hay and silage available.
Obviously I'm not rearing calves full time so it's all new to me! If I had the bvd back the animal will be getting the high road!

Get electrolytes into the calf, min 2l twice daily.

    Check the temperature, 39 +/- 0.5

Beware around the top end of that range. In old money, 102.5 F is as high as I'd like to see.

Thanks all. Didn't have a thermometer but gave some penicillin yesterday evening along with lectade. Seems much brighter this morning.
