Just a quick question, I have my store on facebook. Over the past few weeks, a few comments have been left that wouldn't help business and these where left by people who are not customers. The latest mentioned that an item that I sell could be got for half the price on Amazon. If it is, I can't find it, there is however a similar product (looks completely different though) by the same manufacturers at half that price.
There is a chance that it is a genuine error, but it is not good for business. Is it OK to delete the comment, I don't want to question them on it as I feel it will look bad on us but I feel that if I delete it, it will look like I am trying to hide it.
Any help us much appreciated, I find facebook a minefield but feel that it is to important not to be active.

You don't have to fully delete it, you can just hide it.

"Now this is only visible to the person who wrote it and their friends"

They won't know it's been removed but it won't show up on your page. It's what I usually do.

Just play dumb and respond with what you posted. Something along the lines of "thank you for your feedback, but I cannot find the product you mentioned". It's honest and genuine. And you look engaging and resourceful by responding to these customers. The best way to annoy someone is to be overtly polite back to them, it removes their power.

Ignoring / hiding / deleting will only make you look less appealing to do business with as they can come back with screenshots! (They mightn't be ar*ed... but just in case!)
