drilling lock in interior

    i need to drill open a lock in an interior door that is lock and ive no key for.
    i have exhausted all other options.

    i have attached picture of the lock.

    im looking for guidance on where is the best place to start drilling.
    im not trying to save the lock, brought new one.

    any help would be much appreciated

    This:
    Get yourself a screw gun and a 8mm drill bit for metal. Look at the door handle. Put drill bit into the round part at an angle going upward. The lock is made of a tin like metal. It's not hard work. One or two holes will open it.

    What make lock? It will most likely be the same make as the other locks in the house.

    Basta is a common make and they have less than 20 different keys. A hardware store or locksmith would have the full set of keys. They might loan them

    1. ask a locksmith if they have range of keys for that make, to borrow.
    You mentioned the make in your other thread
    Its prob a different number to the other keys in your house
    or 2. take out another lock from your house to guess the right place to drill
