For his sake I hope there is someone trying to talk him of the ledge of career suicide.

He also added that the three TDs would be paying their own way for the visit and there would be no cost to the State.

    Can't argue with that really!

If only Danny Healy-Rae would nominate himself as chief negotiator for such a noble and worthy cause...

How do foreign dignitaries get treated in North Korea? Is it pistols at dawn or caviar and hookers? He's always been a red so he may go down well there.

He said the visit would be an attempt to “rekindle contact through cultural groups like Comhaltas.”

    Ah Jaysus, someone shout stop!

Its seems quite a delusional idea but you never know, Kim might listen to the crazy looking socialist guy and save the planet

Could be a peace move. Raw Halligan in a blaa.

If world peace is the prize who would we be to grumble?

The Haely Raes speak fluent Korean - well from what I can gather anyway - seems like a missed opportunity.

better idea would be for Halligan to go over to Washington and ask Trump to stop sending insane tweets

It could be a cunning plan alright, Kim chokes on small bone laced with poteen, and Halligan gone. Win win. His sacrifice will be remembered.

I think trump would respond better to the healy-rae's, as they would confuse the **** out of him.

This seems to me more like a session involving lots of alcohol and brainstorming where to go on holidays. I'm not sure what relevant skills minister for transport and two juniors for training and disabilities have.

Ya i guess the HR's are the Iirsh version of Trump. Inward looking, inarticulate, nudge wink type politics

If Trump is an exaggeration of the American persona, then Healy rays are the exaggeration of the Irish persona and in particular the "Kirry" persona

Might as well be Korean, they certainly don't speak English anyway.

I've seen John Halligan wet old womens panties around Waterford by a simple touch on the shoulder, Kim should be a piece of cake

...as he wants to bring Shane Ross people have mixed feelings.

I like his sense of urgency. "We can't just do nothing".
