Girlfriends brother doesn’t like me

I’ve started dating this girl and things are admittedly going well, she’s originally from the city, and me self from a farming background but we get on well and she’s a cracking little ride too to be fair as well as a dab hand with the auld cattle.

However, I’ve stayed at hers a few times and can’t help but get the feeling that her brother doesn’t like me much. In fact I’m pretty sure I’ve heard the word being uttered. He also seems to observe his sister (my gf) in a weird way, constantly leering at her.

Any way to deal with this situation in order to not offend my girlfriend and keep a future dowry?

Sounds like he thinks you're an undesirable.

Whenever he looks at you just make the following gesture with your hand:

Ask him to smell your finger.

Speaking as a city person myself. If you bring that country mindset into her house and use all the colloquialisms that accompany farmers both young and old. Well... your running up against a brick wall and your time with her will be short.

Just to be clear op, there is no dowry with a city girl. It's you that has to bring the land and the road frontage.

Don't worry he got advice here to give you a blowy to scare you away. Let him blow away but you stick it out no matter how much he blows you.

The Italians used to have have a technique in these circumstances - a man in your situation would sidle up to the brother, put your arm around his shoulder and say gently in his ear "Cognato" (brother-in-law).

Ask him which side he supported in the recent Franco-Prussian War.

I'm sure good strong aftershave might help in this situation from what I hear,

be careful though ,as this might have the undesirable effect of pleasing the girlfriends brother ,

but turning her off, especially if, she was horny from the smell of Bengy,in the first place.
