Supposedly the fans all rushed the pitch to confront Evra over his performances and he retaliated

Liverpool fans gonna somehow make this a Liverpool thing aren't they!

Looks like the fan went for him and Evra retaliated ? At least that's what it looks like from some of the videos.

Eric Cantona got 9 months and that was back when this sort of thing was more accepted so Evra will surely get longer.

What's the craic with the game so? Did Marseille have to start with 10 men? (assuming Evra was scheduled to be in the starting line-up).

He was due to be on the bench so no effect to starting line up

If named in the starting 11 then yes.

withdraw your thanks, They have 11 players on the pitch and a full subs bench which is crazy

Sure he hasn't played in years. Loved his seagulls following the trawler gag.

So they were allowed replace him on the bench? Odd rule.

    Clown.

More fool them for even getting involved in it.

Lol at the Pool fans though :pac:

Edit - False news. I'm wrong again! He is on the bench so 6 effective subs.

I'll shut up on this thread I think. :o

I guess it's more like a managerial sending off then? Where it's really just that specific person.

I guess it makes sense somewhat, since it wasn't a sporting offense on the field of play, and took place outside the game-time.

    <Edit> nevermind. God dammit harry!

Remember when he attacked a chelsea steward when he was doing a warm down at stamford bridge? And then tried blaming tye steward? Remember when he stirred the **** something serious at the 2010 world cup for france? And now this, he was a good player but i think he needs to see someone.

Did you not see Evra kicked a fan tonight? Maybe that's why he's comparing it to Cantona kicking a fan?

No, I did not see that Evra kicked a fan when I posted in a thread titled "Evra attacks fan" - I assumed he through a desk fan out of a window or something, no?

In Uruguay, a mob swarming towards a player and shouting abuse is just a form of cultural expression.

I think it's the fellas face in the cap, pure shock. I'd imagine time was standing still whilst Cantona cruised through the air :D

hahaha mate! I think we got off on the wrong foot! Contrast with the guy in the top left. A lifetime spent in the gutters of London leading up to this moment and he's not at all surprised it's come to this :D

I dunno, Evra showed more agility getting his foot so high without any momentum of a run or jump.
