First of all check out if you actually need a solicitor.
You probably don’t know exactly what your entitlements/obligations are but you don’t need to pay a solicitor to inform you.
Find out what the story is first by ringing the employment rights helpline 1890808090 (tomorrow) and just explain your issues and they will tell you your position.
When you ring ignore “press button 1”etc and hang on until you speak to someone.
If you do decide that you want to make a complaint then there’s an easy on line form to complete and it’s totally free.
There’s also now an option to go for mediation, also free.
If you still think that you want to “lawyer up” then go ahead but financially it’s rarely worth it unless there’s been some horrible breach of employment law that has affected your life very badly.
