    Hi all,

would I need planning permission to place an 'off-grid caravan' on a piece of land my sister owns ? It will use solar panels/propane gas heating/cooker along with composting toilet.

Just wondering what the laws and regs would be regarding this.

Many thanks for any input or ideas.

    APB

What will the use of the structure be?
You can only store caravans for certain periods of time without planning but if you want to live there there then that requires planning and will most likely be refused.

thanks Kceire for you prompt reply :-)

yes, the idea was to use it as somewhere to live...but this country, and many others, are hell bent on prohibiting people from not becoming a slave to the banks with mortgage-chains around their necks for the rest of their lives...i certainly don't plan on becoming one of them.
Don't get me wrong, I totally agree with proper usage of disposing of waste/grey water etc and not being an 'eyesore' to anyone.

hi welcome to the c&p forum, unfortunately we cannot discuss the banks in this part of the forum or the government or the legality of laws preventing you from living in a caravan on your sisters land with a composting toilet.

as the Origional question has been answered, there is nothing more to be discussed thread closed.
