    Hi,

Looking for advice. My heating stopped working on my upstairs yesterday. No reason really.
My heating doesn't have a separate loop system that I am aware of.

No idea why , boiler is a vokera mynite 28E. If anyone's got any ideas

    Thanks

Perhaps a lack of water in the system. What is pressure reading

Is it just the upstairs rads that arent heating?
Is the boiler firing when you turn the heating on?

    Hi.

Yes the up stairs just stopped working. Boiler fires when I turn it on and heats down stairs quickly. Just stops at the upstairs.
I have been looking for the valve to add pressure to the system, currently it reads as 0.5 bar in the red zone

Sounds like a faulty motorised valve.
Can you take a picture of the pipework in your hotpress?

Sounds like one of the microswitches that controls the minivalves for your upstairs rads is broken.
There may be a lever at one end that will allow you to manually open the valve (and check it....you'll feel the pipe heat up).
Replacing the switch doesn't involve any plumbing, as such, as you're just replacing a switch, not a valve, but you'll need to switch the power to the heating off at the fusebox to transfer the wires from the thermostat to the new switch.

Actually...if the pressure is 0.5 bar, you should probably repressurise...you'll have to find the appropriate valve for that...to introduce water from the mains into the system....but do it slowly!

    Sorry

For some reason i cant view all the pictures.
The motirised valve isnt open.you can open it manually to check if this is the issue.
The white box that says "myson" on it,there should be 3 of them if you have upstairs/downstairs/hotwater zones.
There is a small plastic tab that you can slide across manually, this opens the valve.

Make sure its the correct valve you opened.you should hear the noise of the motor moving..and then the pastic tab needs to be pushed up a little to hold it in place.

There is only one of those myson switches there.

Thanks for the help on this.

If you only have one motorised valve then you only have heating or hot water.
Did opening that valve make a difference?
If not its a complete seperate issue

Once you find out how to rise that pressure, check the upstairs rads for air and dont forget to keep the pressure up periodically during the bleeding process. What is both your cold and hot system pressure?

    Hi

No it doesn't seem to do anything. No idea myself now after this. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated.

Try and bleed a rad upstairs to see if there is water in them.
