Connections to combination hot/cold water cylinder

    Just noticed in my apt that there's a combination cylinder for cold and hot water storage. Not seen one of these before but does my guesswork and labelling of the connections look right in the pics? The outlet labelled 'wtf' obviously has me puzzled, as does the fact that the cold water supply to the pump at the bottom can draw from the hot water tank (bottom right inlet) that it supplys??? I sense I'm missing something in all of this?!

    Hard to tell from the photo.

    Mains water inlet will be lower than the overflow

    Sorry, that's the way it is alright but photo angle made it look the other way round! Any comment on the stuff going on lower down? It's wrecking my head a bit now...!

    Mains water inlet is the higher narrower pipe and the over flow is the slightly larger diameter pipe just below it.
    The vent / expansion pipe is correct also.
    I can't see pic1 it won't open any chance of uploading again?

    What you have marked is correct, except for the WTF and Supply to hot water tank, both of these are just support lugs.
    The supply to the hot water tank is usually covered by insulation, much like the vent / expansion pipe, starting at the bottom of the cold water section and joining at the bottom of the hot water section with a valve midway down.

    Aha! That makes better sense - it didn't seem right for the cold water to be entering the top of the hot water tank! Thanks for your help...
