Santa Fe - touch screen/radio upgrade

Hey guys just wondering if someone can give me some advice.

I have a 2013 Santa Fe with the basic small touchscreen. I would be interested to upgrading it to something (stock Hyundai would be fine) which would incorporate maps and potentially apple car play.

Is this something that can be done through a dealership or is it something for a third party to look at?

I would imagine the dealership route would be horrendously expensive.

Ask a dealer for a quote, that way you have something to compare with when you check local companies.

It's definitely doable, I usually do a few for the new models that are being sold for the new regs that are looking for Android Auto, Car Play or just navigation. It's easier way to add it on to the finance package that way.

Android Auto with Car Play are a cheaper solution especially without CD players, maintain the steering wheel controls and facia and reversing camera all possible.

Don't do an Alibaba style, look pretty but you might be lucky, but quality isn't always there.

Are you fitting generic double DIN units or what?

Yes the last few stereo fitted for a couple or garages were the Kenwood 9716bts now replaced with the 9717bts and a few Pioneer x8800 which had the lot, nav, carplay, android auto but warfully pricey. But you don't need to spend that much.

You will find my company on facebook. It's definitely doable but again I wouldn't recommend the alibaba ones if you want a good reliable unit. Anyways don't think they even have android auto or car play.
