Here's a list of the water stations, toilets (WC), Medical, Lucozade Sports and Gels for Dublin City Marathon 2017. Handy if you want to print it out or put it on your phone. Corrections and additions are welcome, especially the exact location of the stations.

In general there's a station every 2 miles. The longest gaps are around Crumlin and Terenure as well as the first 3 miles. In the 3 miles between Clonskeagh and Nutley Lane there are no toilets, medical or water (only Lucozade Sport).

    Mile 3 (Aughrim/North Circular Turn)
    Water WC Med

    Mile 5 (Phoenix Pk Roundabout)
    Water WC Med

    Mile 7 (Castleknock)
    Water WC Med

    Mile 9.5 (Chapelizod Gate)
    Water Lucozade Sport WC Med

    Mile 11 (Inchicore Rd)
    Water WC Med

    Mile 13 (Crumlin Shopping Cntr)
    Water Lucozade Sport WC Med

    -- 3 Miles --

    Mile 16 (Kimmage Road)
    Water Gel WC Med

    -- 3 Miles --

    Mile 19 (Orwell Park)
    Water Lucozade Sport WC Med

    Mile 21 (Clonskeagh Road)
    Water Gel WC Med

    Mile 22 (Roebuck/Fosters Turn)
    Lucozade Sport

    Mile 24 (Nutley/Merrion Turn)
    Water WC Med

    ---

    Water: 250ml bottles (sports top)
    Lucozade Sport (Orange): 380ml bottles
    Gel: High5

The first one I find utter carnage so generally plan to skip it!

There is always a St. John Ambulance station on the flyover at Belfield, no different this year (confirmed by a St. John officer)

Yep, much safer to avoid the first one, especially if you happen to be in the middle of a pacer group. Just keep well away from the tables at the early water station, get to the wrong side of the road (or middle if it's on both sides) and make sure you pay attention to the headphone wearing people cutting across you at the last second and keep well out of their way.

100m past the water station if you do need some water then just ask the person next to you to hand you their bottle before they fling it. Make someone else do the hard work in picking up the bottle and keep yourself safe and avoid getting tripped.

    Quick one,

Does anyone know if it’s normal High5 gels and isogels at the gels stations or just the normal ones?

I’d ask at Expo but pack been collected for me, thanks.

I asked about that on twitter and they replied saying that BOTH are being given out at the stations. Here's hoping something doesn't happen between now and then and there only regular.

Wouldn't rely on picking up gels during race on course. Not a criticism just a risky strategy.

If you want them on course, bring them with you.

Cheers. Always carry my own but have seen them dropped in past. Nice to know a back up option.
