    Hi guys

I'm driving from Limerick to Sligo tomorrow for the first time.

Does anyone know any good places with free parking and toilets to stop off on the way?

I'll probably do the new motorway non-stop so I'm thinking somewhere in Tuam, Milltown, Ballindine or Claremorris??

    Thanks xx

I would recommend pulling into Gort. its halfway roughly and just off the motorway and fast to get back on again. Park in the square, fairly sure there's a public toilet there or if you want tea/coffee of top class food head into O'Gradys.
Its in the Square too. Anytime I travel that way I can virtually park outside the door.

If you can last as far as Ballindine, there's a good service station there, Spar/Supermacs etc. plenty parking & toilets. You'll have an hour & a bit left from there to Sligo....

Tuam now has a bypass as well, that you proceed straight onto (through the roundabout) from the end of the M17 motorway, so you may not fancy stopping in Tuam. The place in Ballindine is just off the main road.

I'd second that re Ballindine, did that trip yesterday. It would be a shame to lose the momentum of the motorway by having to divert off it when it's such a novelty to have it and to be able to avoid all the rigmarole of Ardrahan, Clarenbridge, Kilcolgan etc not to speak of Claregalway! If you don't fancy Supermacs OP you could buy a snack in the shop or Ballindine has another cafe/shop at top end of town, Ellie Maguires I think.
