    Hi,

I've just been offered a job, I'm an Irish citizen but I have never worked in Ireland before so I dont have a P45. I have only ever worked in Norway in 2015.

Could anyone tell me what I need to do re tax in this scenario? Do I need to apply to get a P45 or do I not do anything?

If so how do I apply for this?

Thanks for your help I appreciate it.

Do you have a PPS number? Have you applied for PAYE Anytime?

If you were born in Ireland since 1971, then you have a PPS number.

    Have a look here:

    http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/PPSN.aspx

When you get your PPS number, go to www.revenue.ie and click the link for MyAccount...and click the link there for "register now".
As it's your first contact with Revenue, it'll take a day or two to get you up and running there, but once you can log in to MyAccount, you can claim tax credits and register your employment.
