Builder survey?

Hi, We need to get some work done to our house. There's a fair bit that needs doing but it's liveable. We have been told to get a builder in to get an idea of roughly what needs doing and how much it will cost. Is this something a builder would do? And roughly how much would they charge? Thank you!

You could go straight to a builder or you could get a house survey done to identify all the areas that need attention so you can get prioritize and cost each in groups. I'll PM you a company I used to check my house over before I bought it....it's an option anyway.
