    Hi all
I want to change my headlight bulbs and dipped head light bulbs from the dull yellow to a white. Can I do a straight bulb switch without causing my car the trigger bulb blown sensors? Also I don't want to do a LED conversion. Philips xtreme visions seems to be recommended?
    Thanks guys!

Any of these xtrapeme vision/night breakers etc are just a straight swap and don't cause any dash errors as they are essentially regular bulbs. They don't usually last as long as regular bulbs though.

Ya I was reading they need to be replaced more often than regular bulbs! I do a lot of driving and coming into winter months I want everything up to scratch and to be honest the standard VW bulbs that are in the Passat at the minute aren't mighty

Thanks for reply! Any other Ines you'd recommend? And where would you buy the xtreme vision bulbs?

Look up likes of micksgarage, amazon, eBay get idea of prices.

If you drive with lights on day/night maybe consider slapping on DRLs.

The projector type fittings I find ****e if not using xenon's.

Osram Night Breakers have good reviews too, not used them myself.

I got the Xtreme Visions here for £20, use code OCTOBER for 20% off, takes about 4-5 working days to get them...

I have used Osram Night Breakers and like them. Get them online, a motor factors or possibly Halfords.

Ordered myself a set of Philips x-trend Vision + 130. How did you get on with yours in the accord?

Got a set of those a couple if years back. Light seemed better but not that noticeable to be honest. Problem was the drivers side blew after 9 months while the second one after 15 months. In each case they were replaced by the original 8 yr old bulbs which lasted a further 2 years until both blew together recently. Replaced those with bulbs from a Lidl multi bulb set which cost less than a tenner. Light seems fine to be honest. If my experience is common those night breakers aren't worth the money or hassle. Alternatively I might just have been unlucky. Interested to hear other experiences.

Good after I cleaned the headlights. Haha.

    Good purchase.

I put mine in the day before yesterday. Haven’t done a good run in night to see how good they are. Went into halfords and bought their own band 50+ light bulbs. BOGOF offer was reasonable so I put them in my dipped and put Philips xtreme in my heads. Gives off a nice white light and seems to be fairly good!

I’m impressed with them but haven’t done a good run with them yet! Next time I’d consider doing a full HID conversion to make a right job of it!
