    Hey,

Maybe someone can help me with this.

My oil burner is acting weird.
It appears that the water is really hot but the radiators are not as warm is they used to be.

Almost seems like the hot water is not being pumped to radiators.
Does this sound like a pump has gone?

Have you bled the radiators maybe they are air locked

I will do that but, it seems like something is up.
The burner boiler is making some noises it never made before.
The water tank is very hot, i mean extremely hot. Radiators are warm.

My heating system give the option to heat water only or water and heating.
It is almost like the heating is not pumping the water to the radiators.
    And maybe a thermostat issue.

Perhaps that is broken? What decides that option, is there a valve somewhere?

There is a value but then the burner also has a switch.

I am bleeding radiators see if this solves the issue.

Make sure you let water in if your letting air out.

    Going to call a plumber.

The oil burner seems to be heating the water coming in but the water pump does not seem to be releasing it the hot water.

    Or it does intermittently.

It could be one of a number of things,

firstly as you suggest there could be an issue with the pump, but usually your boiler would go into overheat if the pump was not circulating at all.

second thing to try, has the balance valve on your hot water cylinder accidentally been opened fully?
if so, turn until closed, and open by 1 to 1.5 turns only and see what happens when you put your boiler on (if fully open, you would get a lot of hot water, and very little central heating.

The boiler did go into over heat it tripped the boiler switch.

I noticed today the pump was making a noise but now no noise at all, the pump is very hot but it does not seem to be turning.

So I think it is jammed or the pump has burnt out.
It is myson compact CP53 pump.

I am going to wait until the water in the boiler has cooled might try and see if the screw inside the pump will turn.
