    Hi there,

My dog has been limping a little over the last day or two and I’ve finally got the chance to see her foot. Any idea what’s going on there? An infection of some sort? Thanks in advance!

Check for thorns or any other foreign body, keep her safe and warm.
Consult a vet on the phone if you think necessary.

Sorry for the delay, it's a funny old day.

Has she been chewing at it?
    Is she in serious distress?
Just try to prevent her pulling at it and as in above post try to get a good look, get someone to hold her muzzle if you are nervous.
It's really not a good day to go out even if the vet is open.

Thanks, she's not in massive distress, still running around and just licks it a bit, no chewing. I'll keep an eye and take her to the vet tomorrow if it's not improving. Thanks for the advice!

    Hi there

My baby had a sore paw - not limping too much as such but he wasn't happy.

Took him too his groomers as a nail seemed longer than the others. She said his nailbed seemed infected, so we went to his vets.

They agreed and removed the nail. However two weeks later he was with his sitter while I was away and she said that she was going to take him again as he was limping.

Turns out he needed the toe removing! A histology report later showed it to be the dog equivalent of skin cancer.

He's absolutely right as rain now. Murphy sends good wishes to your pooch!
