    you do it?

i dont mind it, though it helps having someone to bounce off and enjoy the grub with, it shows character to enjoy your own company and be content with that.

I like dining alone, that way I can use my tears of loneliness to marinade my food.

Sometimes yeah, nice to clear the head. Especially when many work colleagues will only talk about work. It's lunch hour ffs...

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. Hate seeing old people eat alone though, that makes my heart sad

Holiday alone so inevitably eat alone. Peace and quiet.

Did it night after night for years while travelling on business. It's a bit miserable when you do it too often!

Having managed a lot of eateries, it's nice when you see people invite others to eat with them. It happens more often than you think, with older people - its lovely to see!

It's not the worse thing. I find it's good if I've been surrounded by people all day/Night. But I love going out for a meal with family. Relaxed and enjoyable then.
Oh plus eating alone I get to read my newspaper without bugging anyone:D

My girlfriend is the only person I enjoy eating with. If not with her, I'm perfectly happy eating alone.

    I prefer it

too many people are noisy eaters and talk with their mouth full and just generally annoying

Winston Churchill said that one of the secrets of a happy marriage was breakfasting separately.

I used to be really hung up about it - when I was single.

Now I couldn't give 2 ****es - in fact I love a nice lunch alone when the kids are in school and wife at work.
