garda fingerprinting primary school kids

    hi during the week a garda called to my 5yo sons school which all seemed innocent and maybe im just overthinking this and am worried about nothing but part of this visit included fingerprinting all the kids as i seen on the schools website and my son was one of them. Im not sure if the fingerprints where left in the school in which case im worried about nothing however i cant help thinking my little boy is now on pulse. anyone ever hear of this happening to senior infants? and if they where taken from the school what is the legal position of the garda taking theses without parents knowledge or consent. thanks.

    Are you sure it wasn't just a "hearts and minds" thing with the Gardai and they were just doing it to keep the kids interested for a little fun? You know, have a talk about be careful with strangers and then a fun game where the kids pretend to be robbers being arrested.

    I'll find this hard to believe and would be 99% certain that those fingerprints didn't end up on Pulse unless the AGS really want another scandal.
