Looking to head up north in the next few days. Going to head to the big dealers Charles Hurst, Shelbourne etc. Looking to spend about 9-10k Euro on either juke,captur,2008 or cactus
Had anyone any experience of this?

How much negotiating room is there with these sellers if any.

Does anyone have any more advice. Any would be greatly appreciated.

UK and NI dealers don't normally haggle.

Thanks. I heard there may be room as they don't have to pay VAT on sale if selling to ROI.
I'll still try a bit anyway

If they avoid paying vat, I think you have to pay it this side of the border

That only applies to brand new cars, not second hand ones.

There are numerous threads on here around buying a used car in the UK.

Just looking on done deal and there's 6 year old jukes going for less than 10k. Why are you looking to north with that budget for an older car?

Have you checked what you'd get here anyway?

Looking to get a newer 14/15 car, gone off juke now in favour of something bigger, budget excludes vrt of around 2k, that I have put aside.
From the good amount of looking & research I have done, I'm confident I can get what I want saving a min of 2k on what I'd pay down here

I bought a Volvo in Belfast at christmas.
I got very little off, think about £450.
I would not be famed for my negotiating skills though.
