Novice driver in NI

Just wondering, a novice driver in the ROI who is in their first year, would you be imposed the R plate restrictions when driving in NI? i.e the 45mph / 72km/h speed restrictions? Would be a-bit mad driving on the N1 @ 120km/h then slowing down to 70km/h for the A1 for the rest of the journey.

To them I'd expect you are a licensed ROI driver, so drive by those conditions.
