Charging network access Belfast --> Cork

Looking to make the jump into an EV late this year/early next year. have a budget of about 10-14k cash. The Leaf Tekna looks to be the way we are leaning right now - will be taking one out for a drive this weekend.
My commute is 20km round trip a day and we have EV chargers at work in the car park so makes good sense. We will keep the ICE for longer trips etc.

I am maybe looking to buy up North however not sure how I can access to the network charging card for the trip home. Would rather not have to get a trailer and transport it that way. Any way around this - getting temporary access or something?

The chargers in the north and south are all run by eCars so one RFID card does it for all of them

You can just call them and give the code on the charger and they will remote activate it for you. They have 24/7 support.

Ideally get a loan of a card.

Where are you based, someone might loan you one.

Also, worth trying, is that some of them will activate with any RFID card you have (work access card etc). Doesn't work on all of them but it might save you the bother of calling them.

I notice as well that we have an ecar charger in Blarney where I live - I havent see it working or a car parked in those 2 spaces for years and its not shown on the charging network. I might get onto the ESB to see whats the story with it
