Thinking it’s a pulled hamstring!

I was sprinting last night at soccer training and felt a fair pull in my hamstring....stopped straight away...didn’t get a chance to ice it last night afterwards....have had difficulties with tight hamstrings before but it’s at least 10 years since I tore a hamstring.

Struggled to get out of bed this am and walking at work was restricted.Have appt with Physio early next week.
If it’s not too badly damaged how many weeks am I likely to be sore for?
Are we talking a month or more?

    Thanks for any replies.
    Western Pomise.

How long is a piece of string?

I'd say 2 weeks would be optimistic but possibly if it's very minor. 3 weeks would be about right but again if it's minor. After that, it depends on what the damage is.

You'll probably need to do a lot of work to address whatever it is that's making your hamstrings 'tight'.

I would be inclined to give it the time it needs or you'll just injure it again by coming back too early.
