Whats your Zinc options? The supplier will give you the closest range to RAL 7015. What else is RAL 7015 that you are trying to match on the building? The Windows? With Grey if in doubt err on the darker side.

Stock Grey colours are usually RAL 7016 Anthracite....

We’re going with RAL 7005 windows, not a million miles off 7015, I think the widespread anthracite is noticeably darker. Anyway, we’re choosing between Quartz from VM Zinc and Slate from EL Zinc, both are mid/light grey preweathered option rather than natural finish. Not sure but think the next darker option is very dark (looks great if that’s the finish you’re going for).

The darker grey RAL's in Ireland really read/view a lot lighter in the coutryside. The green of the surroundings help 'pop' the colour and it can look a lot lighter. We ran with Ral 7021 in the end and glad we did. The samples look nearly black, but when viewed in situ they read a lot lighter.

Again though depends on its location, in situ materials etc, for example the darker grey Ral might not sit well in a dark stone facade. Against a white material or light they will really stand out as intended.

Its great to see some full consideration for contrasting colours.

Hi, forgive me if this is a stupid question but are you discussing Zinc roofs? We are currently pricing roof coverings but haven't gotten a price for zinc as we had heard it was outrageously expensive. However we are being quoted in excess of €25k for the alternatives (and that's only for half the house). Can I ask what companies you are going with for the zinc and what kind of price range it was in? Thanks so much
