Hi just looking for info please on importing cars From Japan. I am currently a small car sales and have been asked a lot for certain cars, not performance cars just the everyday Hondas etc. Anyway I’m not 100% sure of the situation once they hit Dublin port. Do i get a broker or similar to unload them and get the imports duty etc sorted and then I collect off them or what way do people do it? I’m thinking maybe bringing 4 cars in a container first. Any help much appreciated.

I don't see the process being different these days, but maybe someone who imported recently enough could confirm.

Before you consider bringing a car in for a customer make sure that they can get insurance. JDMs are getting hard to insure even for normal cars.
