They come around every so often in Dunnes but they're good value these to be honest..

4 x Toffee Crisps Bars
4 x Snickers Bars
4 x Mars Bars
4 x Mars Chocolate Brownie Bars
4 x Twix Bars

Also have varying size multipacks of Skittles, Starburst and Freddos.

Picked myself up 12 Toffee Crisps, 4 Twix's and 4 Snickers for a fiver.

(..yes, they're smaller bars than normal but maybe you've just grown etc.)

+1 some are the same and the weights prove it.

I was disgusted to see rolos have finally joined the rest and have smaller packs in dealz now. Think they were still OK value as it was a 4 pack for 1.50, while most others in dealz are 3 packs. But tesco were doing 4 full size rolos for 1.50 recently. Strange since rolos should be very easy to change the size of, I guess other bars would need new moulds etc, some might be a long strip and just chopped differently. I have not seen a shrunken bounty bar yet (besides celebrations!) the shape of a bounty is a registered trademark, wonder if they have to stick to a certain size.

You would need two of those toffee crisps to equal one of the old ones. Although the solution is to eat two at a time so not really a problem if I'm being honest.

There are retro websites with images of old wrappers.

They do not have to declare the weight of a bar on the wrapper if it is under 50g. Many have now dipped below this but still declare the weight. The likes of wispa and aero did not declare weights (not sure about now), this was likely to hide the fact they were so small. The price per kilo can give it away, its all I really consider. Mutlipack bars used to have the weights, or overall weight.

You could figure out the weights as many would give info per 100g, and then per bar.


That toffee crisp has a BB of 2006, and works out abut 48grams.

Tesco have these in their "Three for €5" too. 278g pack (about 20 in each pack)

There are a few different packets of lollipops in the 5 for €5 deal too. Drumsticks, chalk lollies and those fruit lollies. There might be more that I missed. Perfect for Halloween.

Rolos are in it too, smaller pack, watch out as my Dunnes packed the regular sized packets in the space and it caused hassle at the till as I was charged full price on every pack, has to go get the smaller packs to make the deal work and get 5 for €5
