Circled on that graph is the recent bottom after Jamie Dimon made his ridiculous and outrageous comments on Bitcoin. I advised people to ignore this blatant market manipulation and to use this as a buying opportunity to buy the dip. I did so myself and am sitting on some nice profits. 10 and 25 day moving averages would indicate that we are now in a slightly overbought position, but for long term investors there is likely more long term gains to be had.

All those of us who are Hodling are sitting happy.
But spare a thought for those people who Shorted around the $4,100 mark -- for them it's a nightmare. They are getting margin-called, and in many cases having their entire stake liquidated. There's blood on the streets.

This breakthrough of the $5,000 barrier will also push Bitcoin into the mainstream press, which can only be a good thing.

His daughter reportedly also held large amounts of bitcoin, so he was helping increase the family wealth.
