Psoriasis - Coal Tar or Coal Tar and Urea cream in Dublin

    Hi,

I've been using Coal Tar creams to keep my psoriasis under control for 20 years now. But in the last few months I've been finding it hard to find it for sale anywhere in Dublin . Looking online there are a few articles about shortages of coal tar worldwide which means manufacturers can't source what they need to make it.

Has anyone seen this for sale anywhere in Dublin? Or elsewhere in Ireland?

    Cheers.

Are you talking about carbolic soap?

Apparently the company that made it in the UK is gone out of business...which is why it's been near impossible to get.

Rumour is some new company has gotten the "rights" to make it, but production will not start till June or so.

If you try some of the smaller traditional hardware shops, or even the likes of Dealz or Euro2, you might find some.

I got some in Super Valu Blackrock a couple of weeks ago.

Hi - no it's not carbolic soap although I have used that in the past. This is a really thick cream that comes in big tubs. The stuff I used to get was made by Forans in Ballymount.
