    Options for a halldoor bell with internal Image.screen of those at premises and ability to reply to them without opening the door ?

    Saw this advertised a while ago, also stayed at a B&B which had one. So when pressed, the owner got a notification on his phone as well as a live stream of who was at the door and could reply.

    Am tempted to pick up one myself so still going over the pros and cons.

    I use ring camera and it works perfectly... notifications right to your phone with the ability to have Conversation with whoever is at the door.
    I purchased the ring door bell with the chime unit for my elderly parents who don’t like answering th door if they are unsure who is calling...now they can check from the comfort of the armchair...

    There's a huge thread on the iot forum on these.

    Just a note most Irish people won't need a new chime unless they want an extra one.

    In most cases the ring door bell can operate by replacing your existing wired doorbell, it gets it's power from the existing cables too (or battery)
