I bought a Eir cordless phone online last week from Eir or Exertis Ireland Limited With the documentation it states you will only be viable for a return if a valid request is made within five working days from date of the invoice. The Consumers Rights Directive says you are allowed under 14 days for online purchases. Am I missing something here or are Eir breaking the law?

14 days if ordered online/on the phone, no qualms.

Exertis are a fulfillment company - that return documentation is probably for trade customers.

The eir site very clearly states and promotes that you have a 14 days no quibble returns time frame. That's who you purchased from and its their terms that apply.

You could always point it out to Eir that the documentation supplied is confusing.
