The Register of Interments for St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Glasheen Rd. Cork covering the period 25 Feb 1868 - 14 Jun 1896 is now online (free) on the Cork Archives site.

It makes for some very sad reading.
Kemp, Anna Maria died age 2, in November 1874. Then on 26th March 1880 her six year old brother Arthur died of a gastric attack and on the following day a four year old sister, Ethel died of scarlatina, followed three days later by another sister, Elizabeth, aged eight. In January 1885 the record shows the burial of a stillborn son. How Mr. & Mrs. Joshua Kemp, Grocer, managed is left to the imagination.

Great source of information - although a transcription of the registers and no links to images. I found my GG grandmother and her son were buried there - the son had gone to Cork from Dublin to set up a business there. The information on the transcription includes date of death, date of burial, age, address, cause of death, religion, place of birth, plot number. I know that my G Grandparents lived in Cork for a couple of years around the same time and that one of their children died in Cork in infancy, but no record of their burial in St Finbarrs.

    Wonderful to find free info!
