Ok I'll say sorry later maybe for this.

I really really dont want a re-circulation extractor fan in the new build.

The house is airtight and plaster starting tomorrow.
We were cooking last week with a recirulation fan and the smell of onions lingers for 3 days. So I'm back at looking to put a hole in the wall..

So my question, Do modern HUDs have a A/T Seal when off?

Are any of the shutter valves similiar to below worth a Sh1te?

Would these get destroyed in a year with greasy air being vented through it all the time?

Should I get a motortised one instead?

Should I duct now before plaster and airtight the tape?

Ther are a few such valves out there that work better than others Thermobox or Flowstar are two.
