Pando is a clonal tree in Utah, USA. Estimates for its age vary widely, from thousands to a million years old. It’s difficult to determine because it is constantly regenerating, but given its size, it’s almost certainly one of Earth’s most ancient organisms. Pando began life as a small seed, which sprung into a vast network of roots that now supports more than 40,000 tree trunks. This single organism is 1,500 times bigger than a tennis court.

That is amazing... to put it in perspective, if the clonal tree was one million years old, it would have lived through the last ice age would be way older than the human species, and coetaneous with the likes of Homo erectus and Gigantopithecus. It would've been present during our entire history!

The thousands of years estimated range from 80.000 to 800.000, which is still older than the Ice Age and coetaneous with Homo erectus and Gigantopithecus.
