When a company for example is incorporated 01.05.15 and prepares first accounts to 30.04.16 first CT1 not due until 23.01.17 if filing on ROS.
Due to basis periods is the above concession not available to a sole trader assuming same start up and dates of first accounts - ie 1st Form 11 due 31.10.16 for the period 01.05.15 to 31.12.15?

Weirdly can't find a link on revenue.ie but using your example date 1.5.15 as trading start date for SOLE TRADERS although normally the tax return is due 31/10/16 i.e the following year, in the first year of trading a concession is given that it falls due by 31/10/17.

#for paper return. Ros filing add 2 weeks or so

(Always do your own research before proceeding with anything written on a message board :)

So would it be 2 Form 11's due 31/10/2017 - One to 31/12/15 and the other for 01/01/2016 to 30/04/2016?
Then follows accounting year end thereafter?
