How long would you expect a pump for an Attic shower last?

I have one that packed in after less than 2 years with Low usage.

Depends on quality of the pump. I'd be expecting 10 years plus from my Stuart Turner brass body pump. A very cheap make & it's like tossing as dice

Pumps are are made to be used. Too little use & they can seize up. Two years isn't very long though. What's the warranty like. Some pumps have 5 years parts and labour

    It's a Grundfos 1.5 bar used about 4-5 times a week.

I've called the plumber who installed it so he should know the warranty.

I think grundfos has a 2 years warranty. Fingers crossed you might be lucky

They came out and replaced a small board in the pump, done in no time by a bang on lad (John) no charge, works perfect now, can't praise enough.

This proves the point in dealing with reputable brands and installers.
    Job well done!
