Its a camera, you plug it into the tv or some recording source. not really much else to it.

Prob good as a door bell visual unless you have recording equipment you can just to record.

If you walk into a shop that sells stuff like that, see does that shop also use that same equipment for their own security system.
That will tell you how good it is.
