Building Compliance Cert

    Hi all,

Little scenario I'm in at the moment.

Me and my two siblings own an equal share in our family home and I'm considering making both an offer to buy their shares.

As I am already a part owner, would I still have to get a building compliance certificate? (House was built pre 1963 so no planning permission exists)

If a bank is funding a mortgage then it may be required.

Even if it ore dates the 1963 Planning act, you will need a cert to state this.
